W. Alan Whitten
Founding Partner
Alan’s career in commercial real estate began 35 years ago in Alberta as a Commercial Real Estate investment broker. He founded Huntington Properties in 1996 after identifying some exceptional opportunities in the commercial office and industrial sectors in West Ottawa. Alan uses his insight and experience to deliver innovative solutions and create Partnerships that amount to successful real estate investments. In recent years, Alan has focused on the financial side of the business, identifying and negotiating acquisitions and working with the investment community to oversee debt and equity financing. In 2013, Alan was chosen as an Ontario Finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Derek Noble
Partner
Derek is a seasoned real estate developer bringing to Huntington a strong background in real estate development, planning, project organization and commercial and residential construction management. Derek’s professional standings include a Chartered Accountant designation and his strengths in finance, corporate governance and due diligence round out his ability to bring innovative development concepts to life and the financial acumen to make them a reality. Prior to joining Huntington Properties as a Partner, Derek held senior executive positions with Canada’s leading “Green” Developer as well as with a National Self Storage Company. Derek skillfully manages strong project teams, engaging investors, lenders, urban planners, design professionals and contractors in order to deliver successful projects to completion. Among his community work, Derek is Vice-Chair of the National Capital YMCA/YWCA Board of Directors, as well as Co-Chair of the CHEO Ski For Kids.
Craig Whitten
Partner
Since joining Huntington Properties in 2010, Craig has been involved in all aspects of the business. He played a key role in moving leasing operations inside the company, leading to a surge in brand awareness. While taking a lead on managing the routine operations of the company, Craig also brings his entrepreneurial skills to acquisitions and project financing by seeking new mortgages, refinancing, underwriting, and analyzing new investment opportunities. A talented collaborator, Craig works closely with tenants, partners, and suppliers to bring successful projects to fruition.
